DESCRIPTION:<p><div>'Move with the Mayor' is a national campaign developed by the National Forum for Heart Disease &amp; Stroke Prevention to encourage people to live active, healthy lifestyles.</div><div></div>The Carson City Parks, Recreation &amp; Open Space Department will be hosting the 3rd annual Move with the Mayor event on Saturday September 28th at Lone Mountain Cemetery! From 9:00am-11:00am volunteers will focus on weed removal around headstones, with a special visit from Mayor Bagwell. This event will require volunteers to stoop, kneel, rake and lift piles of weeds and debris, and utilize basic hand tools such as rakes and hula hoe weeders.<div></div><div>Tools, gloves, snacks, water, and coffee will be provided - but for those who own their own gardening tools (hula hoes, etc.) please bring with so that we have enough to provide to those without tools.</div><div></div><div>Lone Mountain Cemetery is located at 1044 Beverly Drive, Carson City, NV 89706.</div><div></div><div>Registration is strongly recommended so that we may provide enough tools and staff for this event!</div><div></div><div>Please reach out to volunteer@carsoncity.gov if you have any questions!</div></p><p><a href="https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/ccpr/activity/search/detail/9032?onlineSiteId=0&amp;locale=en-US&amp;from_original_cui=true">Activity detail | City of Carson City Online Services (activecommunities.com)</a></p>
