In accordance with legislation passed during the 83rd Session of the Nevada Legislature (AB 266, 2023) Carson City’s Language Access Plan (“LAP”) is designed to assess the needs of its residents for language services, determine whether the government of Carson City has met those needs, and identify what changes, if any, are necessary to continue to meet those needs. This review of the City’s language services aims to gauge its effectiveness in delivering such services to residents with Limited English Proficiency (“LEP”). The City will conduct this review on a biennial basis and submit its findings to the Governor’s Office for New Americans as prescribed in AB 266.
