First Judicial Marshals Division

The Court Marshals Division provides safety, security, and order within the courthouse to ensure the public can access justice in a safe and respectful environment. Marshals protect judges, jurors, court staff, and the public; manage courtroom security and in-custody defendants; and respond to emergencies and disturbances. Through professionalism and impartial enforcement of court orders, the Marshals Division supports the fair and efficient operation of the court.

The First Judicial Marshals Division is committed to preserving the safety, dignity, and integrity of the judicial system. We protect judges, court personnel, and the public by maintaining secure and orderly court operations throughout all judicial facilities, including the Juvenile Court Complex. Guided by professionalism and integrity, we respond swiftly to threats, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that every person who enters the courthouse is treated with fairness, respect, and impartiality. Through leadership, accountability, and continuous training, we strengthen public trust and support the fair administration of justice in Carson City.
