WHAT IS A HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN?
Hazard mitigation plan is a strategic document developed by local, tribal, and state governments to:
  • Identify risks and vulnerabilities to natural disasters.
  • Develop long-term strategies to protect people and property.
  • Break the cycle of disaster damage and reconstruction.

 

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY
This portion of the plan is dedicated to public information and engagement. Carson City encourages residents, stakeholders, and organizations to get involved in shaping the future of community safety.
You can participate by:
  • Attending public meetings and workshops.
