Our Sheriff’s Cadet Program has created a volunteer partnership between youths in our community and law enforcement.  The explorers, aged 14 to 20, receive extensive training in an academy setting.  They then participate in community events and non-hazardous law enforcement activities.  Cadets engage in regular training events and annual competitions.  Cadets also develop personal skills to build character and encourage them to be active members of their community. Cadets are required to attend monthly meetings and training courses.
