This month's report will highlight two measures that did not meet expectations during the month of April. "Traffic accidents resulting in injuries" reports more incidents than have occurred year to date (July - April) averaged over the past 3 years. The inclement weather this winter was cited as the reason for exceeding targets during February and March, but in April, that trend continues. Sheriff Furlong provides further insight in this report.
In regards to the Carson City Finance Scorecard, calendar year expenditures in the General Fund exceeded what was targeted for the fiscal year-to-date period ending April 30, 2010. This was due to posting of certain charges in April rather than May, when they had been posted in previous years. Finance Director Nick Providenti provides additional details of these charges. This report also includes a brief review of measures and activities for each perspective in the scorecard.
Taxable sales graphs are included in this report and provide an indication whether the various categories of taxable sales are meeting our targets which have been established as the amount of sales generated during the same month one year ago.
The current status of capital projects are also included in this report. All projects are grouped according to the various strategic plan perspectives they support.
