Music and Art Tot Time (MATT) - Mondays 10am, 11am, or NEW 5:30PM CLASS

Developmentally appropriate early childhood activities including imitation and exploration in music, movement, and visual art for little ones with a participating adult. Recommended for ages 18 months through preschool.

Class is approximately 40 minutes and is held at 801 N. Roop St. Carson City, NV 89701

Events - Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival

Join us for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival performance of The Heart of Robin Hood on Friday, July 10 or Macbeth on Friday, July 31 at Sand Harbor!

Registration includes:

- Round-trip transportation from Carson City to Sand Harbor

- Sand Harbor NV State Park entry fee for the performance

- Ticket to the performance (open seating/GA in upper or side gallery sling-back chairs)

Schedule:

4:45pm - 5:15pm Meet at the Community Center art building (801 N. Roop). Come early to test your Shakespeare and Lake Tahoe knowledge before loading into the Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space van to ride together up to Tahoe!

5:30pm Prompt departure

Approximately 6:00pm convenient drop-off at meetup location near venue entrance

*Bring a picnic or purchase dinner from Shakespeare's Kitchen (open 5:30pm to 7:20pm before the performance and open again during intermission)

7:30pm Performance begins – enjoy the show! Show run time approx. 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Approximately 9:45pm clean up any picnic items, use facilities as needed, and find your way back to meetup location 10-15 minutes after performance concludes

Approximately 10:30pm arrive back at the Community Center art building (801 N. Roop)

Meet the Orchestra provides a meaningful opportunity for Carson City youth to connect with the performing arts through an introductory orchestra concert offered as a free field trip to all second-grade classes in CCSD. Special thanks to:
