The Carson City Redevelopment Arts and Culture Grants support arts and cultural projects and events which enhance the cultural vibrancy of Carson City and serve to implement the 2022-2026 Carson City Arts and Culture Strategic Plan. Funds may be used by northern Nevada nonprofits to support the execution of one arts and culture project/event or a series of related activities. Examples of eligible projects include art exhibitions, performances, readings, and festivals. Exclusive or members-only events are not eligible. Applicant organizations may submit one application this fiscal year. Please review guidelines before submitting application.

If you have grant experience and would like to volunteer to be on an ad-hoc scoring panel for the Carson City Redevelopment Arts and Culture Grants, please download the A&C Grants Review Panel Application and submit completed form to afreeman@carson.org. Panelists must verify that they do not have any conflict of interest.

The Carson City Arts & Culture Program is seeking community members, artists, and arts professionals/educators to participate in upcoming public art review panels. Per Carson City’s Public Art Policy, Public Art Panels will be created for each public art project and shall be established by the Arts and Culture Supervisor. Each panel is specific to the public art project to which it is assigned and requires expertise that reflects the nature of the project. Collectively, the panel will have a solid working knowledge of public art and the medium under consideration for each project, an appreciation for community involvement, and be free of conflicts of interest or the potential for financial gain from either the project or the purchase of specific artwork by the City. Panelists serve on a voluntary basis and do not receive compensation. Panels will review, evaluate, and select from submitted proposals for the project then make recommendations for the awarded artist to the Carson City Cultural Commission and Board of Supervisors.
