Movers & Doers

The Movers & Doers program provides recreational experiences for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities and their families. Activities are designed to contribute to the physical, mental, social, emotional growth and development of all individuals. Calendars are provided to inform participants of the many fun filled activities such as movie night, kayaking, field trips, arts & crafts, bingo, bowling, dances, and much more. You may contact the Recreation Program Supervisor, Andrew Menendez, at amenendez@carsoncity.gov or 775-283-7428 for more information or to be put on our mailing list.

Come out and join our group!! Discover the benefits and see the increase in self-confidence and self-esteem. Meet friends, conquer boredom, and have a safe place for interaction and fun!!

Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space would like to thank our local businesses that have generously donated prizes to the Movers & Doers Bingo Night. Because of our local businesses, we were able to provide some amazing prizes for our recent Bingo Night this past November of 2025. Local businesses that supported the Movers and Doers Bingo Night included Red's Old 395 Grill, Great Basin Brewing Company - Carson City, Juan's Mexican Grill & Cantina, Mom and Pop's Diner, Scoups, and Little Caesars. We also want to give a big shoutout to Galaxy Theatres Carson City for donating a bingo prize and providing delicious popcorn for everyone to enjoy! Their support added the perfect touch to our bingo night.
