The Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department has everything needed for a successful backpacking experience. While the department has organized community based backpacking trips in the past, this year there are no organized backpacking trips. However, if you have a group and would like to use the department's services in organizing a backpacking trip for your group, please contact the department at ccparksandrecreation@carsoncity.gov. Also, don't forget all the gear is available for rent through our Gear Library if you want to plan your own trip and just need the gear!
